Factors That Contribute To Community Building

By Elinor Tran

Humanity thrives in a culture where joy, sorrow or emotions permeate between friends, family and neighbors. People share such feelings liberally. Invariably, such sense of attachment gives rise to communities where each person belongs. The presence of online connectivity across the borders has significantly contributed to community building.

A civilization is composed of people dwelling in the same geographical locality. Such a society has its own social standards and rules. This means that there are very many communities living in different parts of the globe with divergent philosophies and tongues. However, the invention of the internet has condensed the entire world into one global village.

The peace and progress of any civilization depends on the sense of community that is in every heart of its members. The relationships of the members of the society, their collaboration and division of work are key factors that generate peaceful coexistence. Such a society is united, harmonized and in accord. Nationalism and worldwide integration is nurtured from these strong feelings of the public as a whole.

Most folks learn the logic of care for others while still very young. This builds a sense of closeness to the family members, friends and relatives. As such, a sense of care and dependency on others develops. These factors contribute significantly to community building. Communities are now much close through online social sites where they can freely interact from any corner of the globe at the push of a button.

The emergency of the internet has made it possible to share information, ideas and knowledge on any subject on a worldwide scope. However, specialization is necessary for any rational and functional public. In the current economies, societies specialize in doing what they are best at performing. This division and sharing of work creates dependency and interaction among communities at various levels. Such network creates a civilization without which life would prove very challenging.

The very essence of civilization springs from the idea of cooperation. This sense of cooperation begins at home and develops to national, regional or global integration. It is a strong feeling of closeness with one another. A society lives by association with one another. This plays a very significant role in making a vibrant and lively civilization. A perfect balance of these factors contributes to progressive community building while an imbalance will lead to chaos and disruption of peace.
