It hasn't ever been more true than it is today. The global economy is changing. America's economy is changing. Gone forever are the days where someone could graduate from highschool on a Tues., find employment at the factory on the outskirts of the town on a Wed., work there for 30 years and retire with an annuity and a gold watch. Those days are gone and they are not coming back.
Replying to that, folks in skyrocketing numbers are striking out all alone. Trying their hand at entrepreneurship, and a surprising share of them are succeeding. They are growing beyond themselves and blazing new trails. For many , what started off as a commercial prerequisite has evolved into the vision of growing a colourful business to be able to pass it on to their children.
That's a good, noble goal, and I wish every single person who has that desire the absolute best of luck. I'd also urge every single one of them to pay close attention to data protection.
Most folks who start a business for themselves are graced with abounding common sense and a good work ethic. They extremely quickly learn the fundamentals of what's needed to build, run, and manage the day by day operations of a small enterprise. Unhappily though, many of those same people aren't terribly technically inclined, and while they may intuitively understand that to protect your information is to protect your business, comparatively few of these new entrepreneurs have any firm ideas about the way to do that. Because of this, it's a thing very often left to risk, and this is a boo boo.
So if you are desiring to expand your business to have something to pass on to your kids and grand children, then I enjoin you to make Internet security part of your thinking. If you don't put a little thought into it ( and that would include contracting a qualified expert if you do not have the technical know-how yourself ), then it could very well be the thing that blind sides you, and rather than leaving a flourishing business to the new generation, you may leave a busted internet site with some smarmy hacker logo on it, and dreams that got pulled out from under you. Do not let that happen to you or your dreams!
