The dilemma whether this is the right time to gift an iPad to my little one at a tender age of 2, is no more a problem. Apple products are designed in such a way that even the kids can handle it offhand. The quality of Apple products is the best and that makes them sturdy to use and simple to operate; the most important feature that one must look for, while gifting it to a kid.
Purchasing an iPad for a two-year-old might seem a bit far-fetched to some. We considered it for a week, even though the answer seemed obvious. We've been using technology from Apple for a while now: Macs, iPods, iPhones, and our personal iPad. We've had just about everything that they've put out onto the market, and have always had a good experience. So we decided to buy one just for him, although there were some things that needed to be done first.
It was easy for me to picture our grandson holding the iPad, smiling as he played with an app that could teach him the basic things that toddlers learn. That was where I started my search, looking for apps that would be educational, although this wasn't an easy feat. I had no prior experience with finding apps suitable for such a young child, and soon I was figuring out just what I didn't want, such as apps that included inappropriate ads or included in-app purchases. Finally, after loading the iPad with apps that were suitable for him, we handed it over.
His first interaction with the iPad is one of my fondest memories. After unlocking it, it did not take long for him to start pressing his fingers to the touch screen. The first app he chose, which is still his favorite to this day, is a game with a red plane for an icon. He loved it, and continues to return to it whenever he picks up his iPad. It turned out to be a good purchase after all!
Thanks to this experience, I started a website where I could post reviews on iPad apps that would be educational for younger children. For each app, we include three or four videos that feature the app in use, to give an idea on what it's like and if it's a good fit for your child. We want to provide parents the opportunity to see for themselves what we've already done by giving a toddler an iPad.
The motive behind this website is to inform parents about the best educational apps on iPad and reduce their efforts, while save their time on researching all of them.
For a child to be successful they must be equipped with only the most current technology. Since governments and schools are going to end up using iPads, it is best that our children be ready.
An iPad is the perfect thing for a child. It has a large amount of storage space, perfect for storing all of those apps that your kids will love. And as schools too start to upgrade their supplies, no longer will children have to carry around heavy textbooks when they'd be able to download the text straight onto their iPads. Just think of how many trees would be saved thanks to that! Without having those heavy books to lug around, the only thing a kid needs in their backpack is their handy iPad and their bagged lunch. And, well, maybe an iPhone too.
