I Have Been Very Pleased With The New Dental Software I Bought For My Dental Practice

By Denie F. Rollinees

When I decided to become a dentist many years ago, it never crossed my mind that all these years later, I would have to spend a huge amount of time stressing about dental software. I've been in my current dental practice for almost twenty years now and when I got started, we were still using unwieldy, complicated x-ray machines that required x-ray film and a lot of time and effort.

When the new dental software was developed, I was rather set in my ways and I assumed that the new software would just be for younger dentists who were familiar with that kind of technology. I was won over by the new software though, when one of my buddies from dental school showed me the new software he was using and told me that the new software had truly made an improvement in his practice. I was happy that I listened to him, and I was astonished at how great the program was and how easy it was to use. I had always believed that someone like me who did not like technology, would not be able to understand a system like that, but I was delighted to see that I could easily understand it.

Something else that I really liked about the software was that it was web-based, so that I could simply log in from anywhere at any time and look up a patient's records without having to really be in the office. I knew that this feature would be extremely useful, as I could use my smartphone to go over patients records when I was on my lunch break or even when I was out of town.

Besides everything else, I was blown away at how sharp the images from the dental imaging turned out every time. I could see the details of teeth so clearly and I knew that I would be better able to plan treatment if I were using such sophisticated technology. I told my friend that I would like to learn more about the particular software he was using and he directed me to the company website.

I read more about the features of this software and grew more and more convinced that I needed to implement some pretty major changes in the way my dental practice did things. I ordered the new equipment and could barely wait for it to be installed so that I could stop feeling like I was so far behind the rest of the competition. Technology is my friend, now, and I know that I am giving my patients the very best possible treatment for their teeth.
