A major priority for Oracle, that goes along with this cloud expansion, is delving into robust platform & system services. The opening also marked the collaboration of Oracle with a few of its latest clients including i3000, Wired2Cloud, SDS Group and Vensys Consulting.

The president of Oracle, Mark Hurd, was in Australia for the opening of its newest facility. He said that this data center showed Oracle's commitment not only to the market and IT industry but also to Australia as a whole.
He couldn't say enough positively about Australia's place amongst the more stable, leading markets. Mr. Hurd vaguely mentioned that a rather big investment was made to build the facility, never specifically stating a dollar amount. He mentioned a specific need for cloud training courses in Oracle to become widespread for the many IT professionals blooming in Australia. Oracle is firmly convinced of the fast-growing demand for cloud infrastructure, and Australia marks yet another market they are first-moving into.
